Lieke, our beekeeper, brought a new bee population together last autumn and moved it to a nice place behind our building. We are very curious how the 30,000 bees are doing now!
This spring the bees have grown considerably and are busy collecting nectar. Honey is made from this. In early May, Lieke put a honey chamber on the bees. In the summer, the bees fill this with honey and seal it with a layer of wax. When all the windows in the honey room are full, Lieke will harvest the honey.
As soon as this is done, a new update will follow. Nice to make a positive contribution to the living environment of the bees in this way!
